A Rare Case report of Neuromuscular Complications of Pediatric Lymphoma

Abstract:

Un enfant de 12 ans atteint d'un lymphome medias­tinal a ete hospitalise pour des manifestations neurolo­giques comportant: facies myasthenique, douleurs radi­culaires intenses, amyotrophie et diminution de la force musculaire au niveau des membres.  A l'examen du liquide cephalo-rachidien, ii existait une meningite neoplasique. Celle-ci a ete traitee par le methotraxate intra-rachidien parallelement a la chimio­therapie et la radiotherapie de la tumeur.  La biopsie d'un muscle de la jambe a mis en evidence une myosite non specifique. Apres la guerison de la meningite, les douleurs radiculaires ont completement disparu et la force musculaire proximale s'est considera­blement amei"ioree. Le syndrome myastheniforme n'a pas subi de modification au niveau du visage et un test par la prostigmine s'est avere negatif.
